Each person lights a candle before the prayer service.

The Apostle Paul reminds us to “pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests” and to “always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people” (Ephesians 6:18).

In this spirit, and in order to be obedient to this most holy duty, we gather every Wednesday evening at 5:30 for collective prayer.  Using liturgical forms common throughout the history of the church (psalm-singing, scripture recitation, periods of silence), we lift our petitions humbly to our good and gracious God, through whom and before whom all of life is lived and finds its purpose.
